Special Education

GJCS provides for a comprehensive, free and appropriate education to all eligible educationally disabled students unless they have completed the 12th grade and been issued a diploma or have reached their 22nd birthday.  Supplemental aids and related services are provided when necessary.  Placement options ensure that each identified student is provided a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).  GJCS coordinates all special education programs and services in accordance with federal and state law; and through an agreement with the Dubois, Perry, Spencer Exceptional Children Cooperative.
