She decorated her bus for Down Syndrome awareness and honored our children who have Down Syndrome. She makes personalized Happy Birthday signs and brings in snacks for her riders birthdays. She is a caring individual who makes a huge impact. She is making a difference in so many children’s lives everyday and they are also making a difference in her life. Her smile and love for life has grown so much since she has been an employee of IES and a bus driver of our special needs students."

"I won't go into all of the details, but there was a mishap with one of my son's math worksheets, and we thought it was lost. He was upset. I emailed Mrs. Freeman about it and asked her what she'd like him to do about the worksheet. She was still at school and found the worksheet. She emailed me right away that she had found it and even brought it to our house after she left school, so my son could complete the worksheet that night. She offered for him to do it at school the next day, but he felt better about being able to have it done the night before. I thought it was so awesome that she went out of her way to bring him the worksheet, and she was so sweet about all of it. My son has told me since the first day of school how nice Mrs. Freeman is and how much he likes her. I'm so thankful for such a caring teacher that goes out of her way for her students."
